Adams, Green Lake, Juneau, Marathon, Marquette, Portage, Waupaca, Waushara & Wood Counties are dedicated to promoting fair housing and equal choice for people looking to buy or rent a home in the County.
These counties have a fair housing ordinance. This ordinance states that persons cannot be treated unfairly in their search for housing because of:
- Race
- Source of Income
- Sex
- National Origin
- Sexual Orientation
- Ancestry
- Family Status
- Disability
- Age
- Color
- Religion
Any individual who has been refused housing or otherwise discriminated against in the provision of housing on the basis of any of the above characteristics can contact the County Clerk (below) for assistance in filing a complaint.
