Welcome to Juneau County!

Yellow River Bottom Hiking/Hunting Trails

This hunter/hiking trail meanders along the Yellow River north of Necedah. The large property has miles of trail that are typically mowed/maintained once a year, usually in early fall. A portion of this trail system is a snowmobile trail during the winter months. On the north end of the trail system lies the Sprague Bridge crossing. The bridge was built in 1813 several miles to the south. In 1995 the bridge was refurbished, moved to its present location, and placed on the National Register of Historic Places (enter in link to the reg). in 2015 the county The trails wind through the river bottom areas where many different species of wildlife can be found. add in pics maybe add that from the North parking lot on 10th it is a nice 1.3 mile round trip hike to the Sprague bridge. when did we acquire the Knowles nelson end?
