Juneau County Growing in Health and Wellness

Picture

Our Mission

"Engage communities by educating, planning, and providing resources to improve and promote the wellness of our residents."

About the Coalition:
Historically, Juneau County has been ranked as one of the unhealthiest counties in Wisconsin's Health Rankings, in part, because of poor health choices and behaviors. In response to these rankings, the Juneau County Growing in Health and Wellness (JCGHW) Coalition was created. The aim of this coalition is to provide support, education, and, and resources so Juneau citizens can begin the path towards choosing healthy behaviors and developing healthy habits.

The following figures are snapshots of Juneau County's health provided by County Health Rankings and Roadmaps.  Follow the link for more information about Wisconsin's and Juneau County's Rankings.

The overall rankings in health outcomes represent how healthy the counties are within the state (the healthiest county in the state is ranked #1). The rankings are based on two types of measures: how long people live and how healthy people feel while alive.

The overall rankings in health factors represent what influences the health of a county. The ranks are based on four types of measures: health behaviors, clinical care, social and economic, and physical environment factors.
