Communicable DiseaseTo ensure the health and safety of Juneau County Residents, a public health nurse investigates contagious diseases to determine the possible infection source. Our nurses also perform some testing as well as administering vaccinations to prevent communicable diseases from spreading through our county.

CHILDHOOD IMMUNIZATION SCHEDULE
tuberculosis (TB) Skin TestingTuberculin Skin Testing (TST) is done at Juneau County Health Department. The Mantoux tuberculin skin test is the standard method of determining whether a person is infected with Mycobacerium tuberculosis. Contact JCHD to schedule your appointment.
Wisconsin Well Woman ProgramThe Wisconsin Well Woman Program (WWWP) provides breast and cervical cancer screening services to women with little or no health insurance coverage. Well Woman pays for Mammograms, Pap Tests, Clinical Breast Exams, and Multiple Sclerosis testing for women with high risk signs of Multiple Sclerosis. Covered services are available from participating health care providers at no cost to Well Woman clients.
To be eligible:
- You must be a woman age 35 through 64, and
- Your income is within the program's guideline limits, and
- You do not have health insurance, or the insurance you have doesn’t cover routine check-ups and screening, or you are unable to pay the deductible or co-payment.
